What is ROI?+

ROI (Return on Investment) measures how much you gained or lost on an investment relative to its cost, expressed as a percentage.

How is ROI calculated?+

ROI = ((Amount returned − Amount invested) ÷ Amount invested) × 100. For example, ₹12,500 returned on ₹10,000 invested is a 25% ROI.

What is annualized ROI?+

Annualized ROI shows the average yearly return over the investment period: ((Returned ÷ Invested)^(1 ÷ years) − 1) × 100. It lets you compare investments of different durations.

Is a higher ROI always better?+

A higher ROI means a better return relative to cost, but always consider risk, duration and liquidity alongside ROI when making decisions.
